Our client is currently experiencing an increase in home visits and nursing home care and is looking for a qualified foot care assistant or podiatry assistant to join their team. This role is offered on a part-time basis (approx 2 days per week), and is flexible to fit with family or other commitments.
Dan Everson Podiatry
Our client, Dan Everson Podiatry, was established 35 years ago and has grown to be the largest podiatry group serving the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane.
They have six clinics and multiple partnerships with medical service providers. They also have contracts with nursing homes and provide home visits to patients who are unable to travel.
About the role
In this role, you would provide:
- ongoing care to patients requiring general foot and nail care (eg trimming, sanding, reduction, and debridement as necessary on toenails, calluses, and corns)
- assessment of any changes to nail structure or tissue changes
- assessment of foot pain with education to reduce pain in feet and toes
- treatment for ingrown nail if required
- provide strategies and education to clients minimise future problems and complications, including diabetic foot education
- responsibility for infection control & instrument sterilization process
- patient related administration.

Skills & Experience
To be qualified for this role, you must have a Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (Podiatry).
Our patients are our focus, so you will also need:
- strong knowledge of podiatric practices, foot care techniques, and common foot conditionse
- exceptional interpersonal skills to build lasting relationships with patients
- excellent time management skills and punctuality
- empathy with patients to ensure a patient-centred approach
- ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
